T-Level Health Science Supporting Adult Nursing Student Reflective Journal but can be adapted (Word document) for any number of courses.
The template for a weekly reflecting using Gibbs Reflective Cycle for students such as attendance, uniform (if applicable), punctuality and prepared to learn, homework and independent student and then progress that week in general.
The template for set task reflection can be used for exam/test, role play activity, presentation or group task etc
A presentation explains Gibbs Reflective Cycle and how to use the journal so getting in the habit from week 1 is advisable.
The Reflective Journal can be ring bound to be a formal document and (in theory) raise their attitude towards improving, progression and professional behaviours. This will map progress for tracking purpose and can be used in the classroom or on placement.
In the ESP Task 4 is reflection on Tasks 1-3 and in the 2nd year OSA Task 4 requires students to refer to their reflective portfolio. Correct skills for reflection must be developed and become habit.

BTEC L3 Unit 1 Human Lifespan Development last minute theories overview pre-recorded lesson
This is quickly thrown together, is very amateur, refers to previous learning tasks with my students however, I’ve uploaded it in case you need to upload a revision resource tomorrow.
Its 40 minutes long but the idea is that it’s a stop, start and rewind recording, depending on which theorists.

BTEC Units 1, 2 and 3, Tech Award Component 1, 2 and 3, T-Level Core A and Core B - however, these are adaptable for different qualifications and units.
To use this advent calendar in a lesson, it is good to start a discussion and is a good learning tool.
Suggestion. give student a number each 1-25, for example this can be done by picking a number out a hat … or just hands-up. You may want to find easier questions prior to using this and allocate numbers for differentiation
Start on slide 2, start the presentation
Select a student, to call out their number
Click on the number, on slide 2, which will take you to a question slide.
Read out the 3 potential answers
Get the student to select their answer, A B or C
Click forward to enable the disappearance of incorrect answers and underline the correct one
Lastly, click on the house icon, bottom left, to get back to slide 2 for the next student

An activity to introduce students to alcohol units, calories in alcohol, financial implications of drinking and the health risks involved. This is engaging, using a case study and resources you can download for free from the Public Health England …
Component 3 requires students to know the weekly alcohol units number, know the health risks and then come up with a plan of reducing alcohol intake so this gets students thinking about this and can be carried out reasonably independently.

Print, laminate and cut out cards to use when students who are required to work silently. The student has the 3 different traffic light cards and has to display one, on their desk, visible to the teacher. The rest of the class work in silence on course work or task and the student who displays a red thumbs-down card can be seen and discreetly support, with out causing any disruption.
Very useful for a noisy challenging big class.
